U Know What I Did Last Week

26 Nov

NOTES:  This blog entry contains a lot of pictures, thus it may take a longer time to load than usual.  All the pictures in this blog were captured with my handphone camera.

i went to Kuala Lumpur on 20th – 24th November..  mainly for academic purposes..

on 21st November i went to D’Rapport, Jalan Ampang..

attended a symposium on Anti-Aging, Aesthetic and Regenerative Malaysia / Sports and Exercise Medicine..  had the opportunity to learn the new skin rejuvenation method with autologus platelet rich plasma injection..

then attended the 8th Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 22th – 24th November..  opening ceremony by Malaysian Health Minister..

where i presented a scientific paper..

and had an opportunity to participate in the new International Primary Neurosurgical Life Support course..

ermmmmm..  as usual i’m not going to elaborate more on academic stuff in this blog..  well, i would like to share with all of you the fun stuff that i managed to have during this short trip..

for this short trip, i was staying in Chinatown 2 Inn, a budget hotel..

situated at…  ermmm, where is the direction to Jalan Petaling..??

ya, this is the Jalan Petaling..  the Chinatown in Malaysia..  and there are quite a number of budget hotels here..

the busy Chinatown..

lion dance performance at Chinatown..

and come to my favourite topic, food 🙂  this is the Hainanese Chicken Rice (Nam Heong Restaurant, Jalan Petaling)..  really taste nice..  :p

the Hakka Noodles (Jalan Petaling)..  delicious..  🙂

the Claypot Lou Shu Fun (means Rat’s Tail Noodle, because of the shape..  made of rice, not the rats k..  :p) at Jalan Petaling as well, but only available at night time..  contains noodle, egg, prawn, chopped meat..  yummy..  🙂

and also found this Sarawak Kolo Mee stall in Jalan Petaling as well..  ermmm, because of curiosity so i decided to have a try..

they use different type of noodle (the noodle texture is quite different from the original Sarawak Kolo Mee)..  the overall appearance looks alike..  but the taste is different..

hehe..  konichiwa..  🙂  this was my first time to Sakae Sushi at Suria KLCC..

very unique..

the Kamameshi set..  mushroom, chicken, egg..

the Bento set..  nice salmon fish and chicken..  🙂

besides hunting nice food, i also took the opportunity to visit the Aquaria KLCC, an ocean of discovery..  🙂

the Piranha..  ermmm, where are they heading to..??

the Eel..  why they put an eel in the Aquaria here..??  what is so special about this eel..??

it’s an Electric Eel..!!

so..  don’t touch the eel..  :p

urghh.. urghh.. my name is Arapaima..”

we are from South America..

the Black/White Pacu..

the Albino Softshell Turtle..

it has pink colour eyes..

Marhaba

8 Nov

found something unique in Kelate..

ceng, ceng, ceng.. the Arabic Restaurant.. :p

Marhaba (hello)..!! Keef Halek (how r u)??

this restaurant is located not far away from my kampung house.. serves only Arabic food.. and it has attracted me to go there for dinner in 2 consecutive days.. :p

this is the Nasi Mandi Kambing (Lamb Mandi Rice).. so tasty so juicy.. “mandi” in Malaysian language means “bathing”.. but the term “mandi” here is referred to a cooking style in Arab, and not to mean that the Kambing (goat) was get caught in the river while taking bath k.. hehe.. :p

this is the Lamb Kabsa.. lamb soup with spices.. kowaies (good).. 🙂

this is the Shish Tawook.. something like the KFC twister.. :p

emm.. this is the set of Arabic Coffee.. which does not taste like the usual coffee.. :p  the coffee cup is just about 2 inches height..

just for comparison.. on the left side is the mini coffee cup with Arabic coffee, and on the right side is the usual coffee cup with Malaysian coffee.. :p

the Arabic Coffee.. colour appears like tea.. taste like Ilex Paraguariensis (a type of drink in Brazil)..

for those who likes to have a try on Arabic food, then this is the address.. 🙂

Shukran (thank you).. 🙂
