Crab Talk (3)

11 Jul

it is the makan time again..  🙂

i am back to Kelate for 1 week to attend an intensive course on statistics and research methodology (10-14 july)..

but, the exciting part of this trip is able to taste the nice local food again..  huhu..

this evening i follow my friends to explore another ketam place in Bachok..  Bachok is one of the famous beach in Kelate..

the restaurant is situated not far from the Balai Polis Tawang..  as shown on the sign board, this restaurant is famous with the ketam bakar..  (grilled crabs)..  :p

this is the front view of the restaurant, which i think is the owner’s house..  the “actual” restaurant is a dining hall at the side of this buiding..

this is the entrance to the restaurant at the side of the main building..  can you see the moon up there..??

and, there is a river behind the restaurant..

nice kampung view..  personally i luv kampung life very much..  🙂

emmm..  not sure if they are catching the crabs from this river..??

the “balcony” part of the restaurant..

and a big “shark” on the wall inside the dining hall..

emm..  ok..  let’s order..

the tomyam soup..  taste ok..  chicken, cuttlefish, and mixed vegetable (baby corn, broccoli, onion)..  it would be nicer if add in some prawns and squids..  :p

the belut halia cili (eel with ginger and chilli)..  recommended by the pakcik chef..  very fresh, tasty and crispy..  yummy yummy..

the ketam bakar (grilled crabs)..  grilled with charcoal..  smell good, taste good..  also, very fresh, tasty, and juicy..  2 thumbs up..  🙂

a closer look on the crab..  huhu..

this is the home-made chilli sauce..  taste nice..

and the fresh water melon juice..

in general..  nice food with reasonable price..  🙂
