yeah.. Happy Deepavali.. :)
on this special day, i would like to share with you a special dessert from India.. the “Halwa“..
not long ago one of my colleague went back to his hometown in India and brought this to me..
the Bombay Halwa..
i like Bollywood movies very much.. especially the scene when the hero and the heroin are singing together on the field, under the hot sun, under the heavy drain, chasing each other inside the bush.. hiding behind the rock.. hiding behind the tree and suddenly showing up a surprise hands.. subsequently come in a group of dancers.. then everybody is rolling on the grass together..
but i do not understand at all what was written on the box except for the “Bombay Halwa“.. :p
emm.. there is a picture under the box.. may be it is the product from this hotel..?
i have no idea who is his grandson.. the founder of Halwa..? or the founder of the hotel..?
but the most important thing on the box is this..
the nutritional fact.. :)
emmm.. cholesterol 2%.. ok, ok.. :)
let’s look inside the box..
there are 5 pieces of “Halwa” inside the box..
it looks simple.. but it taste great..!!
as shown on the box, it’s made of maize starch, almond, pistachio, ghee, cardamon, sugar and etc…
i do not know how to describe the taste.. it is just indescribable nice when take together with a cup of hot “teh-O“.. 🙂
i’m not sure if “Halwa” is available in Malaysia.. but if you see one, just get it and have a try.. 🙂
